A business that come into contact with the transport of dangerous goods by road or rail is obliged to appoint a dangerous goods safety advisor. A safety advisor has defined tasks regarding preventive safety work in connection with the transport of dangerous goods. Our QHSE leader is a certified dangerous goods safety advisor to abide by this obligation.

Norkem AS works to promote good working and environmental conditions in its supply chains. We want to do this in close cooperation with our suppliers and partners. In order to clarify what is expected of our suppliers, Norkem has agreed to the general guidelines for ethical trade drawn up by Ethical Trade Norway. The guidelines cover basic requirements for human rights, employee rights and the environment.
As an environmentally conscious enterprise, we use only approved and environmentally friendly substances. It is very important for us to develop and supply ecolabeled products. Norkem is also a member of Grønt Punkt Norge AS (Green Dot Norway). We participate actively in the business community’s volunteer effort for collection and recycling of packaging materials.

We manufacture Nordic Ecolabeled products. The Nordic Ecolabel is a scheme based on evaluation of a product’s impact on the environment over the whole life cycle. The label guarantees that climate requirements have been taken into account, and that emissions of CO2 (and other harmful gasses) will be limited.
